Our Fabric
Our fabrics are the cornerstone of our design philosophy. We source and work with the highest quality silk, linen, hemp, bamboo, hand-spun handloom cotton, organic cotton, and other sustainable fabrics, dyed using natural and azo-free dyes. Did you know that over 60% of clothing on our planet is made from synthetic materials? They are dyed with harmful chemicals, which cause immense harm to our planet and skin. The Conscious Closet focuses on creating ethical wearables that are made with organic fabrics. We always ensure that we don’t harm the planet and its beauty while creating these pieces. These products are hand crafted, and there may be slight color variations, but it is part of what makes each piece unique. We search the world to find eco-friendly fabrics that resonate with a tone of luxury. The Conscious Closet commits itself to work with vendors and communities who are committed to fair trade practices and sustainable processes.

Our Top Collections
Hemp - The Hero Fabric
Considered a super fibre, hemp is a sustainable choice for production that does not require pesticides, and uses less water than traditional cotton. It also has a softening effect, becoming increasingly smoother and softer with every wash. In addition to that, it is three times stronger than cotton. Our hemp fabric is perfect for creating one of our sultry yet sophisticated Spanish Cut-Out Blazer Dress, including By The Rock Bralette and matching shorts. All things considered, hemp is a good choice for you and the planet
Linen - Seasonless Fabric
Derived from the flax plant, linen has historically been associated with luxury and opulence – it’s earth-friendly and renowned for its breathability, temperature regulating, and antimicrobial properties. In cold weather, it helps your body retain heat, and in hot weather allows the heat to evaporate into the air. Made of linen fabric, The Conscious Closet Hopeful Soul Long Dress is a beautiful piece that you will want to wear all year round. With a relaxed fit and subtle design details, this dress naturally flows beautifully with your body’s every movement

Kala cotton- The Fabulous Fabric
Kala Cotton, cultivated in the Kutch area of Bhuj district (Gujarat), is a fabric of choice due to its high tolerance for pests, diseases, and environmental stress. The unique quality of the softness and durability of this gem is an instant fascination as soon as you lay your hands on it. Organic cotton has 30% softer fibers than regular cotton fabric and is designed to be light and cool even in the summer heat. It’s durable too, so your clothes will look good and last longer. It lends itself well to natural dyes, allowing us to create a wide variety of designs: from contemporary to modern block prints. The Perched Black Jumpsuit is already gaining a lot of love.

Organic cotton - The Game Changer Fabric
Cotton grown without the use of any synthetically compounded chemicals and fertilisers is considered ‘organic’ cotton. The OC fibers are sourced from local farms that are spun by hand into yarns, which are then woven by hand into fabrics. This ensures notably low carbon emissions that could contribute to global warming. Moreover, artisans are entitled to revitalize craft traditions and enrich the rural economy. Feel feminine and ethereal forever in our Into The Cold Overlay – crafted with hand-spun, hand-woven organic cotton. The fabric is breathable, lightweight, and 100% biodegradable which is good for the environment and you.
Silk - The Luxe Fabric
Silk is a natural fiber known for its luster, shine, strength, and durability, and it has a long trading history around the world. Silk is the epitome of luxury due to its high cost to produce, soft feel, and elegant appearance, and it is thus a popular textile in high-end fashion. There’s nothing like the feeling of silk against your skin, whether you’re luxuriating in silk dresses or playing with your favourite silk scarf. Since silk is a natural fiber, it is inherently sustainable and non-damaging to the environment. Explore our relaxed and chic Sandy Acacia Kaftan Dress handcrafted in the softest silk.
